Responsible for performing these functions on issues as they are assigned (or arise) in the designated area.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\nChampion Lozier’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values by demonstrating the behaviors that contribute to Lozier’s success.\nResponsible for the successful completion projects which are broad in nature including defining project, setting goals, and communicating project to multidisciplinary teams.\nWork from sales requests, customer quote requests, Product Change Requests (PCR’s), New Item Releases (NIR’s) for cost reduction or functional enhancements.\nChecks drawings developed and drawn by others in the form of PCR’s and NIR’s.\nAssist manager in determining when samples may need to be fabricated to validate fit/function parameters and/or to send to customer for approval.\nGenerate necessary shop drawings and assists, guides and mentors support personnel in design-related matters.\nWork with cross functional teams on cost estimating for quotes or to determine optimum design alternatives.\nResponsible for establishing installation instructions and identify safety-related issues including misuse of product (to ensure appropriate warnings are included).\nDemonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.\nAbility to work and interact well with others.\nOTHER JOB FUNCTIONS\nGeneral industrial and manufacturing engineering functions as necessary.\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation: Bachelor degree in engineering or another related field. Product design or engineering preferred.\nExperience: Minimum of 4 year of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.\nRequired Skills:\nIntermediate Microsoft Office skills.\nGood written and oral communications.\nExcellent organizational skills.\nAbility to develop plans for accomplishing assigned work and set priorities with a proper sense of urgency.\nAbility to make timely decisions.\nAverage to above average PC Skills.\nPreferred Skills:\nKnowledge of design software and project management software.\nSPECIAL DEMANDS\nSome travel required.\nThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
