This role is responsible for architecting, building, and supporting enterprise-level edge infrastructure and security controls. You will also develop and maintain technical designs, documentation, and architecture artifacts aligned with security and infrastructure standards.\nThe ideal candidate brings a strong mix of security and operations experience in a fast-paced, 24/7 enterprise environment, along with the ability to independently drive projects. This role collaborates across engineering teams, business units, and partners to deliver scalable, secure solutions that protect LPL’s edge.\nThis role reports to the VP II of Network & Security Engineering and plays a key role in shaping LPL’s edge security strategy and roadmap.\nPlease note: This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future. Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization that does not require employer sponsorship.\nResponsibilities:\nArchitect, build, and support highly available, secure, and scalable edge infrastructure\n\nPartner with Enterprise and Security Architecture teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise security standards\n\nPerform continuous edge threat hunting and mitigation\n\nDefine and implement edge security infrastructure standards to drive automation, scale, and consistency\n\nImprove availability, security, and observability while closing control gaps across edge environments\n\nConduct research and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver secure, customer-focused solutions\n\nParticipate in an on-call rotation supporting availability, security, and performance incidents\n\nWhat are we looking for?\nWe’re looking for collaborative, client-focused professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and deliver a world-class, customer-first experience. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who drives innovation through continuous improvement and effective execution.\nRequirements:\n4+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise edge infrastructure and security controls using CDN platforms such as Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai, etc\n\n4+ years’ hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring platforms (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana)\n\n3+ years’ hands-on experience with global load balancing (GLB) solutions (e.g., NS1, AWS Route 53, UltraDNS, Cloudflare Load Balancing)\n\n2+ years’ hands-on experience managing enterprise DNS solutions (e.g., Infoblox, BIND)\n\n2+ years’ experience building infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Go\n\n4+ years’ experience collaborating with development teams and project/program managers to architect and deliver infrastructure solutions\n\nPreferences :\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field\n\nHands-on experience implementing and maintaining secure web proxy solutions (e.g., Netskope, Zscaler)\n\nExperience managing cloud-delivered security services (e.g., Cisco Umbrella)\n\nHands-on experience designing and implementing Network Detection and Response (NDR) solutions (e.g., ExtraHop, Vectra, Corelight, Darktrace)\n\nRelevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSE, NSE)\n\nExperience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Microsoft 365\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences\n\nHands-on experience building and supporting enterprise load balancing platforms (e.g., F5 LTM, Citrix NetScaler, Avi/NSX ALB)\n\nPlease note: This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
