The SOC Analyst is a high visibility position, which is responsible for activities relating to monitoring and responding to security events. The SOC analyst receives, researches, triages and documents all security events and alerts as they are received. This individual supports multiple security-related platforms and technologies, interfacing with others within the IT organization, as well as other internal business units and external customers/partners. Events will be generated from endpoints, networks, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, threat intelligence platforms, employees, third-parties and other sources.\nThe SOC analyst reports to the SOC manager and is an involved member of the SOC team. This role must display an understanding of new trends and technologies related to IT security and compliance, and contribute to the company IT security strategy and roadmap.\nPlease note: This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future. Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization that does not require employer sponsorship.\nResponsibilities:\nMonitor and process responses for security events as an active member of the team\n\nTriage, investigate and respond to events produced by our SIEM solution by utilizing a wide array of tools to mitigate active threats.\n\nEnforce information security policy, standards and guidelines for business operations and technology requirements.\n\nIdentify IT security risks from technical and functional perspectives.\n\nNotify management of suspected incidents and articulate the event’s history, status and potential impact.\n\nAssist with Incident Responders when an escalation is required by providing a detailed recount of events.\n\nConfigure and work with SIEM and SOAR tools.\n\nWork effectively in a fast-paced team environment by communicating in a detailed, concise manner.\n\nMaintain working knowledge of threat detection as the industry evolves.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned supporting the SOC as needed.\n\nWhat are we looking for?\nWe’re looking for strong collaborators who deliver exceptional client experiences and thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
