This role involves technical skills, project oversight, and collaboration with shipyards, owners, and regulatory bodies to maintain safety, quality, and operational integrity.\nWhat we offer you\nThe opportunity to work for an organization that has a clear sense of purpose, is values-driven and helps colleagues to develop professionally and personally through our range of people development programmes\nFulltime position\nThe role\nPerform statutory and classification surveys on ships and marine assets.\nConduct ISM, ISPS, MLC, and Flag State inspections and audits as authorized.\nVerify compliance with Class Rules, international conventions, Flag State requirements, and port regulations.\nMonitor and inspect ship repair and building processes, including hull fabrication, machinery installation, and outfitting.\nReview and approve repair and construction procedures and specifications for compliance with classification and statutory requirements.\nPerform condition assessments, damage surveys, detention and compliance inspections on in-service vessels. \nEvaluate structural integrity, machinery performance, and safety systems. \nPrepare detailed technical reports and recommend corrective actions or repairs. \nRegulatory & Compliance \nEnsure adherence to IMO conventions, flag state regulations, and classification society standards. \nLiaise with shipowners, operators, and regulatory authorities to resolve compliance issues. \nTechnical Support & Advisory \nProvide specialised guidance on marine engineering, hull structures, and safety systems\nSupport risk assessments and incident investigations. \nWhat you bring\nDegree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field. \nExtensive professional experience in marine surveying, including new construction and operational vessels\nCustomer experience focused mindset\nIn-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations and classification society rule\nWell-honed skills in problem resolution and report preparation.\nSolid communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nYou are someone who\nIs keen to take accountability and ownership for delivering customer needs\nIs able to self-manage and prioritize tasks towards meeting goals\nIs effective at solving problems, trouble shooting, and making timely decisions\nIs motivated and willing to take initiatives\nCommunicates in a structured way and has ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language\nDisplays a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment\nResponds positively to learning opportunities and is comfortable stepping out of own comfort zone\nFrequent domestic and international travel, including to remote locations, to support clients and attend complex surveys, vessel detentions, casualty investigations, audits, and emergency response assignments.\n#LI-KC1 #LI-Hybrid\nAbout us\nWe are a leading international technical professional service provider and a leader in classification, compliance, and consultancy services to the marine and offshore industry, a trusted advisor to our customers helping to design, construct and operate their assets to the highest levels of safety and performance.
