Manage own development, seeking opportunities for self-development.\nMaintain registration as an Engineer-in-Training or Registered/Licensed Professional Engineer with Engineers Nova Scotia or other Canadian professional engineering association\nWhat you bring\nA minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar.\nEligibility for a Personal Security Clearance with the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD).\nDriver’s license\nSignificant experience in structural engineering, with a focus on maritime structures/vessels.\nExperience in the use of finite element codes and other numerical modelling tools for the analysis of structures.\nExperience in the maritime industry\nExperience in a consultancy environment\nExperience with working for/with the Canadian Department of National Defense\nFamiliarity with the Lloyd’s Register Classification Rules, IMO codes, SOLAS, Transport Canada, CSA, IEC and ISO and other relevant standards used in the marine and offshore industries\nYou are someone who\nIs keen to take accountability and ownership for delivering customer needs\nIs able to self-manage and prioritize tasks towards meeting goals\nIs effective at solving problems, trouble-shooting and making timely decisions\nIs motivated and willing to take initiatives\nCommunicates in a structured way and has ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language\nDisplays a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment\nResponds positively to learning opportunities and is comfortable stepping out of own comfort zone\n#LI-KC1 #LI-Hybrid\nAbout us\nWe are a leading international technical professional service provider and a leader in classification, compliance, and consultancy services to the marine and offshore industry, a trusted advisor to our customers helping to design, construct and operate their assets to the highest levels of safety and performance.
