The Accounting Associate supports key accounting functions, including accounts payable, vendor management, financial recordkeeping, and general administrative support.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.\n\nResponsibilities\nAccounts Payable\nReview, code, and process invoices and check requests.\nDistribute accounts payable checks and respond to vendor inquiries.\nResearch and resolve invoice discrepancies.\nMaintain accurate vendor records, including tax reporting information and contact details.\nEnsure tax-exempt documentation is current and provided to vendors as needed.\nOrganize and maintain accounts payable files and records.\nAccounting Support\nAssist with annual audits and other accounting functions.\nReview financial documents for accuracy and compliance with agency procedures.\nSupport year-end processing, including 1099 preparation and filing.\nAssist employees with accounting-related questions, petty cash requests, and purchase orders.\n\nQualifications\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of accounting-related experience, or\nHigh School Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of accounting-related experience.\nExperience with MIP Abila software preferred\n\nLiberty Resources is committed to creating a diverse inclusive environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
