This position will directly support the Department of Veterans Affairs campuses.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Oversight:Manage and review mechanical and plumbing engineering submittals, design documents, and construction execution to ensure alignment with VA standards and contract specifications.\nJurisdictional Compliance:Rapidly analyze, interpret, and apply relevant local, state, and federal code requirements, health system guidelines, and project constraints.\nProject Monitoring & Deliverables:Leverage industry-standard software tools to track construction progress, update schedules, review RFIs, generate technical reports, and maintain accurate project record documentation.\nCross-Functional Communication:Act as the primary technical liaison between LRS Federal, CAVHCS facility management, general contractors, and regional stakeholders to resolve technical challenges efficiently.\nQualifications & Requirements\nEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.\nLicensure:Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.\nExperience:Minimum of six (6) years of combined, hands-on experience in both engineering design and field construction management.\nSpecialization:Demonstrated high-level specialization in plumbing systems design and construction (domestic water, sanitary/vent, storm, and healthcare plumbing systems) in addition to core HVAC concepts.\nRegulatory Mastery:Proven ability to quickly master complex federal, state, and local code mandates and healthcare facility guidelines.\nSoftware & Communication:Strong written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer literacy, and fluency with technical software used to monitor schedules, manage data, and produce project work
