This small town has a lot of spirit!\nLSB Industries is looking to hire a Process Safety Engineer to join our team. Their primary role is to lead the El Dorado, AR facility’s Process Safety Management program. This individual will be responsible for implementing necessary compliance program and procedures, identifying hazards or risks, analyzing and reporting findings on various EH&S consequences. They will collaborate with others to institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions, equipment, or situations. In addition, assists business units with EH&S permitting and compliance and represents the Company to external organizations.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDrive the implementation of PSM and RPM programs and procedures.\nFacilitates Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) on existing and future processes and reports findings on consequences of equipment, tools, and procedures.\nProvide oversite for the site Management of Change (MOC) process.\nLead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for incidents related to near misses.\nAssists in developing and distributing educational materials, participation in required audits of PSM and RMP programs activities applicable at company facilities, and recommends corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance with established regulations\nMay represent the Company on internal business affairs to external organizations or associations.\nIdentifies, assesses and presents possible solutions to problems concerning PSM & RMP issues\nMay assist in the development, implementation and coordination of process safety training programs.\nAssist in the investigation of accidents or injuries for the determination of cause.\nParticipates in conducting internal audits.\nAssists with permitting and reporting.\nAssists with proposed regulation review and standard development.\nManages the company Learning Management System (LMS) for training, MOC, and incident reporting.\nAssist with setting up PHA’s/LOPA’s, reviewing/revising Procedures, and ensuring Operations personnel are up to date on their training\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial, Safety, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred. \n5+ years of industry experience is preferred.\nPossesses in-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations and best practices regarding PSM and/or RMP compliance.\nHighly organized with the ability to plan and complete multiple diverse tasks and meet challenging deadlines.\nAbility to make sound decisions by utilizing job knowledge, work experience and evaluations of risks and consequences.\nStrong knowledge of PC functions and software including MS Office Suite.\nExperience with PHAWorks & OESuites software would be beneficial to this position.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to follow safety, environmental and emergency response procedures.\nRequires lifting of equipment and supplies weighing over fifty (50) pounds.\nOn a routine basis, must climb ladders, walkways, and scaffolds.\nRequires ability to work outdoors in weather extremes (hot, cold and windy) and in high noise areas.\nAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (FRC, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel toed boots and hearing protection) in addition to full face respirator as necessary in emergencies.\nRequired to be periodically on-call for after-hours emergencies.\nSpecial Attention: This position is safety and security sensitive in nature.\nThis position deals with hazardous materials and/or industrial processes that can pose a risk to employees and the general public.
