This small town has a lot of spirit!\nPosition Summary:\nLSB is seeking a highly qualified Capital Project Engineer to join our team at our El Dorado, AR facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all phases of capital projects, from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The Capital Project Engineer will be responsible for developing project scopes, timelines, and budgets, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and managing project resources.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and manage project scopes, timelines, and budgets in accordance with company goals and objectives.\nEnsure compliance with safety and environmental standards throughout all phases of the project.\nCoordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.\nManage project resources, including staff, equipment, and materials.\nTrack and report project progress, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.\nCommunicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including senior management, project sponsors, and other stakeholders.\nConduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous improvement.\nDevelop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, and other project-related documentation.\nMentor and train junior project managers and team members.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in capital project management within a chemical manufacturing facility.\nCertification in project management (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.\nDemonstrated knowledge of safety and environmental compliance regulations.\nProven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in project management software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and JDE.\nWork Environment & Physical Demands:\nMost of the incumbent’s time will be performing complex engineering assignments, planning, organizing, and providing technical engineering support to the plant.\nA significant amount of time will be spent in the plants, e.g.\nAscending/descending stairs, ladders, scaffolding etc.\nBeing subject to noise\nBeing subject to hazards, e.g. proximity to moving/rotating mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or to chemicals\nBeing subject to atmospheric conditions affecting the respiratory system or the skin, e.g. fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.\nKey Attributes:\nThe successful candidate will have a track record of delivering projects on-time, on-budget, and in accordance with safety and environmental compliance regulations. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.\nSpecial Attention: This position is safety and security sensitive in nature.\nThis position deals with hazardous materials and/or industrial processes that can pose a risk to employees and the general public.
