As part of this centralisation, we have created an exciting new opportunity for a Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Central Finance team.\nWe're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts payable or finance administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely and efficient financial processing.\nYou'll play a key role in ensuring supplier invoices, expenses and payments are processed correctly, helping maintain strong financial controls and positive supplier relationships.\nMain accountability:-\nProcessing supplier invoices, credit notes, employee expenses and company credit card transactions accurately and on time.\nEnsuring all transactions are coded correctly and supported by appropriate approvals and documentation.\nMatching invoices to purchase orders and maintaining compliance with purchase-to-pay controls.\nManaging supplier accounts, reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries professionally and promptly.\nSupporting payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid in line with agreed terms.\nMaintaining accurate supplier records and payment details.\nAssisting with month-end, year-end and audit activities.\nIdentifying opportunities to improve processes, accuracy and service delivery.\nWhat We're Looking For:-\nEssential\nPrevious experience in an Accounts Payable, Finance Assistant or similar finance administration role.\nExperience processing invoices, reconciling supplier accounts and resolving queries.\nGood understanding of financial controls and the importance of accuracy.\nStrong attention to detail and organisational skills.\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues.\nDesirable\nExperience working in a high-volume or shared services environment.\nKnowledge of month-end procedures and audit support activities.\nExperience using Sun Finance and/or Proactis systems.\nUnderstanding of VAT and purchase-to-pay processes.\nStudying towards, or willing to study towards, an AAT qualification.\nWhat You'll Bring\nA proactive and professional approach.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the confidence to investigate and resolve issues.\nThe ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.\nA commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.\nA team-focused attitude with a willingness to support colleagues during busy periods.\nWhy Join Us?\nSupportive and collaborative working environment.\nOpportunity to develop your finance skills and career.\nExposure to a broad range of accounts payable activities.\nThe chance to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and make a real impact within the Finance team.\nBe part of a major UK property services group at an exciting stage in the development of its finance operations.
