The engineer will support the development, design, construction, and operation of new and existing transmission assets.\nResponsibilities\nWhat you will do\nSupport competitive proposals and project development activities involving transmission line engineering, procurement, and construction.\nSupport overhead transmission line design and design review in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and guidelines.\nLearn and use PLS-CADD and related Power Line Systems software to model transmission lines and support design decisions and project cost estimates.\nEvaluate routing, conductor selection, structure and foundation types, environmental constraints, and construction means and methods.\nDevelop and evaluate engineering solutions that balance cost, safety, reliability, constructability, schedule, and other project requirements.\nPrepare and review project cost and schedule estimates.\nProvide technical support for new and existing transmission assets during development, construction, and operations.\nSupport the management of engineering, procurement, and construction contracts and coordinate with consultants and contractors.\nQualifications\nWe want you on our team because you have\nHave a Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or electrical engineering from an accredited college or university, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027.\nHave coursework in structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, electric-power systems, or other subjects relevant to transmission line engineering.\nHave an interest in high-voltage transmission line engineering, procurement, and construction.\nCan perform technical analyses, interpret results, and clearly explain and support conclusions.\nHave strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.\nCan manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.\nWork effectively with others.\nTake initiative to learn unfamiliar technical subjects and address new challenges.\nIdeally you also have\nInternship, co-op, research, or academic project experience involving overhead transmission line design, construction, or
