Ping Identity is seeking a VP, Global Head of Commercial Transactions to lead its global commercial legal function. This executive role is responsible for overseeing a team of experienced attorneys and contract professionals, driving the negotiation of complex technology and commercial agreements, and enabling scalable business growth across Ping Identity’s global enterprise customer base.

The VP, Global Head of Commercial Transactions will serve as the lead negotiator for high-value, strategic transactions-including SaaS subscriptions, software licenses, professional services, and strategic alliances-while building deep, trust-based relationships with C-level stakeholders both internally and externally. The role will drive continuous improvement in contract processes, templates, and playbooks, using metrics to accelerate the sales cycle and manage legal risk.

Collaboration is central to this position. The successful candidate will partner closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Experience, Security, and the broader Legal team-including Product, Privacy, Regulatory, AI, and Legal Operations-to align legal strategy with business objectives and ensure compliant, customer-focused outcomes. The role also provides commercial legal support for strategic initiatives such as alliances, channel and reseller programs, and new market entries.

This leader will mentor and develop a global, hybrid team, ensuring operational excellence and strong business partnership. In partnership with the regulatory and privacy teams, the VP will advise on global risk allocation, regulatory implications, and contracting strategy to protect Ping Identity’s interests and support long-term growth.

The ideal candidate brings a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent international qualification, active legal licensure, and over 20 years of experience in complex commercial and technology transactions, ideally within enterprise software, SaaS, or cybersecurity. Deep expertise in cloud/SaaS contracting, data protection, and AI regulatory frameworks is essential, as is a proven ability to lead global teams, influence senior stakeholders, and implement scalable legal tools and processes.
