excellence.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nReceive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities, condition, and alignment with purchase orders, packing slips, and transfer documentation\n\nUnpack, label, and organize merchandise to preserve product integrity, accessibility, and efficient stock flow\n\nMaintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, audits, and timely updates in inventory management systems or handheld devices\n\nReplenish the museum store in a timely manner, partnering with store staff to support merchandising priorities, launches, and seasonal product flow\n\nPick, pack, and prepare merchandise for internal transfers, store requests, and customer fulfillment with accuracy and efficiency\n\nProcess damaged goods, returns, and discrepancies according to established procedures, escalating issues as needed\n\nHelp reduce loss and shrink by handling merchandise carefully, maintaining secure storage practices, and reporting variances promptly\n\nUphold a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment that reflects operational excellence and supports OSHA-compliant practices\n\nLoad and unload goods with care, recognizing the value and craftsmanship of each item\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required\n\nValid Driver License\n\n2+ years of experience in warehouse, retail, logistics, or a related operational environment\n\nAbility to lift to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment\n\nForklift certification (or ability to obtain) preferred\n\nFamiliarity with inventory systems, handheld scanners, and stock management practices\n\nStrong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in receiving, stocking, and fulfillment tasks\n\nReliable, team-oriented, and able to communicate effectively across warehouse and retail operations\n\nKnowledge of health and safety standards and maintaining OSHA-compliant operations in California\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis role is performed primarily in a public-facing museum retail environment with frequent interaction with visitors, staff, vendors, and other museum departments.\n\nThe retail space may be active and fast-paced, particularly during weekends, holidays, exhibitions, programs, and special events.\n\nMay require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of time during scheduled shifts.\n\nAbility to lift, carry, unpack, and restock merchandise up to 30 pounds, including shipment boxes, inventory, retail fixtures, displays, point-of-sale equipment, and other store supplies.\n\nAbility to bend, reach, climb step stools as needed, and perform repetitive motions associated with POS operation, packaging, tagging,
