By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.\nYour Role: \nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and tooling to orchestrate ADAS/AD SIL (Software-in-Loop) and HIL (Hardware-in-Loop) simulations, including test execution, result collection, and reporting. \nDesign and maintain tooling for large-scale regression execution, including scheduling, failure triage, log management, and metrics extraction. \nSupport scenario-based validation by enabling tooling for scenario configuration, parameterization, execution, and result evaluation. \nBe responsible for creating tools for creating data visualizations either from scratch or leveraging open-source solutions such as Foxglove \nUpdate and maintain the automation tools based on feedback from users of the HIL and SIL system \nDevelop an understanding of HIL and SIL simulation setup for L2++ and L3 ADAS/AD driving, safety, and parking functions \nDevelop, maintain, and scale CI/CD pipelines for ADAS simulation workflows (e.g., per-commit smoke tests, nightly regressions), including integration with version control, build systems, and simulation farms. \nMonitor pipeline health, reduce execution time, and improve overall simulation reliability and debuggability. \nSupport HIL and SIL development as necessary \nWork with suppliers as necessary and represent Lucid ADAS systems validation team. \nExpectations: \nVery good understanding of software development for automation tools, post-processing and application development \nHighly proficient in Python; working knowledge of MATLAB for analysis, modeling, and automation \nWorking experience with object-oriented software design and API development \nExperience and comfort working with data from different sources and in different formats \nStrong experience working in Linux-based development environments, including shell scripting and automation \nExperience with containerization and environment management (Docker or similar) \nBasic understanding of ADAS/AD features or other physical systems \nCapability and creativity to successfully complete projects with unconventional ideas in highly constrained, innovative startup environments \nExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) & ownership mindset \nAdvantageous / Preferred Qualifications: \nPrevious experience working in HIL and SIL setups for validating ADAS features at OEM or Tier 1 \nExperience managing large volumes of simulation data, logs, and performance metrics \nExperience with C++ for simulation interfaces or performance-critical tooling \nExperience with scenario standards and formats such as OpenSCENARIO and OpenDRIVE \nExperience integrating simulation tools with ROS2 or similar middleware \nUnderstanding of SOTIF, ISO 26262, NCAP \nBroad understanding of various ADAS/AD systems and the interactions between mechanical, electrical and software components within the system \nProficiency with agile development tools and environments (Jira, Jama, …) \nRequirements: \nBS minimum in System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar and 3+ years of engineering experience in the automotive industry OR\nMS minimum in System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar and 1+ years of engineering experience in the automotive industry \nAt Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
