We are looking for someone who is excited to bring their Android experience to our team and contribute to the innovative in-vehicle software deployed on our world class EV’s as well as help develop future models. You will be working alongside a dynamic team of engineers, designers, and visionaries. \nThe Role:\nDesign, develop, and maintain Androidapps that bring a new level of excitement to in-vehicleinfotainmentsystems. \nCollaborate with our creative UX/UI designers to define, scope, and refine the user-facing features/interactions and transform your ideas into visually captivating and user-friendly interfaces. \nDesign, implement, and deliver the in-vehiclesoftware utilizing the underlying platform, frameworks, and SDKs. \nWork in conjunction with platform software engineers to analyze and optimize the system to achieve a highly responsive user experience. \nDiagnose, analyze, and resolve relevant issues based on testing, and user validation. \nIgnite your coding skills as you integrate multimedia features like audio/video playback, navigation, and connectivity to create unforgettable in-car experiences. \nLearn the ropes of securing user data and ensuring privacy, all while staying up-to-date with industry best practices. \nDive into debugging and resolve software issues, gaining experience in performance optimization and system stability. \nStay on the cutting edge of Androiddevelopment trends, applying the latest techniques to your projects. \nJoin forces with hardware and firmware teams to ensure your code seamlessly integrates with the vehicle's systems. \nDocument your journey, sharing your experiences through code comments, system architecture, and user guides. \nStay informed about automotiveinfotainmentstandards and regulations and contribute to the success of our projects. \nBasic Qualifications:\n5+ years of hands on development experience in Java or Kotlin \n4+ years of hands on development experience on Androidor similar device platform \n3+ years of experience designing, testing, maintaining, & launching commercial software products \nEducation: \nBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical degree is required. Master's degree or higher education is preferred. \nBonus Points: \nFamiliarity with AndroidStudio and the AndroidSDK. \nAbility to embrace software design patterns and best practices. \nSkilled in test-driven development or test automation. \nExperience with version control systems such as Git. \nCompensation& Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan.
