By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.\nLucid's Body Structures & Closures (BS&C) organization is seeking a Sr.Technical Program Manager (SET Lead, Closures Systems) to deliver complex vehicle programs from concept through production. This role leads Simultaneous Engineering Teams (SETs) executing closures systems content, including dynamic seals, mechanisms, hinges, latches, closures trim, plugs, and grommets, with full accountability for cost, quality, timing, mass, and manufacturability. \nThis is a senior, hands-on program leadership role for an experienced automotive TPM with strong closures systems technical depth, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to drive disciplined execution in a fast-paced environment. \n Key Responsibilities \nProgram Leadership & Delivery \nLead BS&C SETs across all program phases: concept, architecture, design, industrialization, launch, and post-SOP. \nOwn integrated program plans, critical path, milestones, and risk mitigation for closures systems content. \nDrive execution to aggressive cost, timing, quality, and mass targets. \nLead program forums and SET reviews to align on design maturity, part readiness, tooling status, and build events. \nOwn engineering change management, clearly controlling scope, cost, and timing impacts. \nCross-Functional Integration \nPartner with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, NPI, Quality, and Operations to ensure end-to-end delivery. \nEnsure early and continuous manufacturability alignment, including tooling, industrialization, and launch readiness. \nServe as the single point of accountability for BS&C closures systems program status, risks, and recovery plans. \nTechnical Leadership \nProvide technical leadership across closures systems content, including: \nDynamic and static sealing systems \nClosure mechanisms, latches, strikers, and hinges \nInjection-molded and blow-molded plastic components \nClosures trim and interior/exterior interface components \nPlugs, grommets, and secondary sealing features \nChallenge technical and program assumptions to drive optimized outcomes. \nEnsure design and release timing supports downstream manufacturing and build execution. \nExecutive Communication & Operating Cadence \nRepresent BS&C in program gateways and executive reviews, clearly communicating status, risks, and trade-offs. \nEstablish and continuously improve program management cadence, tools, and metrics. \nCulture & Talent Development \nDrive a culture of ownership, accountability, and technical excellence. \nMentor TPMs and SET leaders within the BS&C organization. \n Required Qualifications \nProgram Leadership \nProven ability to independently start and lead complex automotive programs. \nTrack record of delivering at least one full vehicle or major subsystem program through SOP. \nStrong command of program planning and tracking tools (i.e. MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent; Jira a plus). \nTechnical Background \nStrong hands-on knowledge of closures systems, including mechanisms, sealing systems, hinges, trim, and associated injection-molded and engineered plastic components. \nFamiliarity with supplier-developed systems and the associated co-development, tooling, and validation processes typical of closures content. \nSolid understanding of vehicle development, design release, tooling, manufacturing readiness, and launch. \nLeadership & Mindset \nExceptional ownership mindset; operates beyond formal role boundaries. \nStructured, data-driven decision-maker comfortable in ambiguity. \nClear, concise communicator across engineering and executive audiences. \nEducation & Experience \nBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (Master's or PhD preferred). \n5+ years of relevant experience \nOEM or Tier-1 automotive experience strongly preferred. \n Additional Information \nApproximately 10% travel to Lucid engineering and manufacturing sites to support builds and launches. \n At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
