This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in cost management and accounting principles to contribute to our organisation’s financial health.\nResponsibilities:\nAnalyse production costs and prepare detailed reports to identify cost-saving opportunities.\nMonitor and control manufacturing expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets.\nAssist in the development and maintenance of cost accounting systems and procedures.\nDevelop, maintain, improve and train users of relevant internal information technology systems particularly D365 ERP Finance & Operations. \nCollaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to gather relevant data.\nWork with operations, engineering and procurement teams to overview and update bills of materials and production cost drivers.\nPrepare accurate cost statements, variance analysis, and financial forecasts.\nPrepare and support month-end activities related to cost accounting.\nPrepare and support year end budgeting process in standard costing and related processes\nTo be responsible for deriving, processing and implementing standard costing methods in D365.\nStandard cost management: calculate, establish and annually update standard costs for direct materials, direct labour, and manufacturing overheads.\nPrepare, calculate and reconcile “margin invoice line” report\nInventory control: reconcile monthly inventory balances, evaluate slow-moving stock.\nTo provide cover for Head of Finance, Financial Controller and Credit Controller during absences.\nTo perform reconciliation of all accounts under control.\nEnsure compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding financial reporting.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.\nSkills:\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.\nStrong knowledge and relevant experience in D365.\nRelevant professional qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA are desirable but not essential.\nGood understanding of manufacturing processes, experience in cost accounting or a similar financial role.\nStrong analytical, modelling and data presentation skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.\nExcellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.\nTeam player, showing flexibility and able to handle pressure.\nThis position offers a rewarding environment for professionals eager to develop their expertise in cost management within a dynamic organisation committed to excellence.\nResponsibilities:\n1) Requirements Management: Identify, elicit, and document project/process requirements, using appropriate modeling technique, if required. Analyze requirements and validate with original users, eliminating confusion. Define the testing scripts and verification criteria to ensure requirements are met. Maintain documentation and traceability throughout project.\n2) Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.\n3) Database Specifications: Provide information and comments on suitability during the approval process for database specifications to ensure all agreed standards and protocols are followed and data integrity is preserved.\n4) Analysis of \"As Is\" and \"To Be\": Support and contribute to the documentation of \"as is\" and \"to be\" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the \"to be\" capability to record accurately the change required.\n5) Business Requirements Identification: Support collection of business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis, to express requirements clearly and succinctly.\n6) Feasibility Studies: Contribute to and support feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective, and document findings.\n7) Horizon Scanning: Explore and develop a basic understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.\n8) Enterprise Business Analysis: Identify solution recommendations to business problems when given fairly well understood business needs at a business unit level.\n9) Business Case: Carry out feasibility and assessment work for proposed and current projects to contribute to the development and continuous review of business cases.\n10) Application Software Development: Contribute to development of existing and new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Contribute to development of new applications to meet customer requirements.\n11) Documentation and Backup: Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.\n12) Culture of Innovation: Support a culture of innovation by contributing to solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration, such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons.\n13) Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
