Month-End Close & Financial Reporting\nLead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting \nEnsure timely reporting of financial results within agreed deadlines \nPrepare, review, and submit financial reports using OneStream (or similar systems) \nPost adjustment and non-standard journal entries where required \nEnsure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of the general ledger \nFinancial Analysis & Performance Insight\nReview monthly results and perform detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast \nPrepare clear financial commentary explaining performance, key drivers, risks, and opportunities \nProvide financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making \nBalance Sheet & Control Environment\nOversee balance sheet reconciliations in partnership with transactional teams \nEnsure strong financial controls and compliance with accounting policies and standards \nSupport internal and external audit requirements, providing schedules and explanations \nBusiness Partnering & Stakeholder Support\nAct as a finance business partner to operational and commercial stakeholders \nChallenge and support stakeholders on month-end closing, preparation of month-end accounts for financial controller’s review\nPrepare monthly accruals, prepayments and accounting entries\nResponsibility for maintenance of financial records, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash books and fixed asset register\nDevelopment of financial control systems and procedures\nOversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, including credit control\nCash management\nSupport analysis and appraisal of investment and financing decisions\nCompliance\nResponsibility for compliance with the Finance Policy and Procedure Manuals\nEnsure compliance with statutory accounting and tax regulations\nResponsibility for all areas of the year-end audit\nPreparation of statutory accounts\nReview monthly payroll calculations\nOversee all VAT, PAYE and other HMRC processes \nFinancial Reporting\nPreparation and issue of monthly management reports pack\nAnalyse financial reports and present findings with department heads\nDevelopment of management reporting\nFixed asset and headcount reporting\nOther ad hoc reporting as required\nFinancial Planning\nPreparation of rolling profit forecast 3 times per year\nPreparation of weekly cash forecasts\nPreparation of annual budget and co-ordination of management plan \nOthers\nTo perform tasks commensurate with the position, and to have a flexible approach within the department.\nManage, mentor and develop 3 direct reports (management accountant, credit controller and purchase ledger administrator), with overall responsibility for a team of 6.\nCovering
