All of the above should be accompanied by proper analysis and feasibility reports for presenting to the management.\nSuggest and implement improvements to process or product design for Continuous improvement\nLean manufacturing.\n\nEliminate waste activities\nSuggest and implement alternate layouts based on batch/single piece flow using lean tools.\nErgonomic design and positioning of workbenches\nAll these changes need to be done in the tandem with production through presentations, cost benefits due to improved efficiency.\nTime database and work instructions:\n\nGenerate extensive database for various assemblies/product groups with a view to have the requisite data ready for use during layout generation.\nGenerate work instructions for all new product and new process introduced in Thailand site, where-ever required.\nNew Product Introduction:\n\nProduct study from a manufacturing perspective and design correction for production ease\nPre-production run\nIn-corporate all manufacturing facility for new product and also ensuring all testing and documentation is in place.\nLiaise with Industrial engineer/manager to take over the industrial engineering part of production introduction.\nIron out issues before production release.\nCreate / update and follow up on obstruction during prototype and preproduction build\nSecondary activities / tasks\nTo undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the company\nComply with all company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of information relating to the company’s business and staff.\nQualifications, Experience & Skills\nMinimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience\nBachelor’s Degree in mechanical/Industrial Engineering with minimum 6-7 years’ experience in a production engineering role\n\nHave good managerial capabilities to be able to lead teams on projects\n\nGood command in English, both written and spoken.\n\nWell versed in understanding engineering drawings\n\nSkills with CAD system and drawing management systems\n\nSkills with CRM software\n\nHave fire in him to grow in the organization.\n\nA background in Switchgear or Electrical / mechanical related industry (Desirable)\nBehavioural Competencies\nDrive to achieve results - sets own standards, checks own work, and demonstrates a positive approach\n\nAbility to work to tight deadlines and handle high volume workloads\n\nStrong communication skills with the ability to influence and guide business managers\n\nTeam player\n\nAnalysis and problem solving - sees range of options, deciphers and reacts positively\n\nWorking collaboratively - actively contributes to achieve organizational objectives\n\nConfident, proactive and customer focused approach\n\nProcess driven with the ability to drive continuous improvement\n\n Responsibilities:\n1) Process Design Engineering: Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems.\n2) Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.\n3) Engineering Standards Specification: Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.\n4) Engineering Inspections: Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.\n5) Testing: Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards.\n6) Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.\n7) Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.\n8) Recommendations: Advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents.\n9) Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.\n10) Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
