Linking energy generation to consumption, the business specialises in high-performance medium and low-voltage switchgear for utility, industrial and commercial applications.\nJob Context:\nYou will work as part of a highly skilled Engineering division supporting all aspects of HV services to our clients and customers. As part of our team you will get to both support your peers in the delivery of HV engineering and also be required to lead projects when called on. We strive forwards as a team advancing our technical skills, knowledge, and competencies together, whilst ensuring a flexible work life balance is worked into our ethos.\nJob Dimensions:\nYou will be working with a team of skilled HV Engineers, SAP’s and supporting staff across all aspects of the HV industry. The role is home based with travel to site works included within your working day. The core hours are 07:30 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 am to 12:00 Friday, depending on operational work and site requirements additional hours will be required. Opportunities to support additional overtime through evenings, weekends and travel abroad are also frequently available.\nKey Accountabilities:\nInstallation, refurbishment, maintenance of HV equipment \nInterpret electrical drawings and records. \nCarry out electrical testing and fault finding.\nCarry out mechanical modifications and repairs. \nComplete assessment and completion reports.\nSub-station installation, testing and commissioning. \nInstallation and modification of AC/DC wiring and earthing.\nAssess safety and apply controls and safety measures required.\nCompleting RAMS, job packs, test certificates and reports.\nFacilitate a safe working environment during high / low voltage working.\nEnsure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Lucy Electric and its customers.\nMaintain authorisations in accordance with legislative our safety procedures and industry best practice.\nLiaise closely with team to understand and manage priorities.\nAttend training and continuous development opportunities as required.\nDesirable:\nCable jointing and end terminations.\nSwitching and Linking LV systems.\nPASMA, IPAF, SMSTS, \nQualifications, Experience & Skills:\nEssential:\nCertified in electricity at work and experience of delivering efficient and effective services to customers whether on site or at a planning stage from an office environment.\nGood knowledge of H&S and its practical implications.\nComputer literate - skilled in MS office\nTechnically qualified with a BTEC, C&G or equivalent apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering\nFull driver’s License, willingness to travel and work weekends as overtime or with a day off in the week. \nValid authorisations - Private Networks, UKPN, SSEN, WPD\nDesirable:\nProven track record of experience in the Electrical and/or distribution Industry.\nTraining - first aid, IPAF, PASMA, SMSTS\n18th edition / 2391 inspection & testing \nMentoring of trainees.\nWillingness to work weekends and call outs.\nWilling to travel abroad to support product and customers.
