Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nDesigning end-to-end experiences from early discovery and problem framing through to detailed interaction design and delivery. \nWorking across complex, high-dependency domains, shaping how customers navigate tasks such as managing roles, permissions, and business operations \nTranslating complex business processes and rules into clear, structured user flows, information architectures, and intuitive interaction patterns \nBringing systemic thinking into everyday design work and exploring unintended consequences to ensure seamless experience \nActively using and shaping AI-assisted design workflows to accelerate exploration, improve quality, and push how design is done \nUsing research, insight, and data to iterate and refine designs, balancing customer needs with business and regulatory constraints \nChampioning accessibility, inclusion, and high-quality craft, ensuring experiences are usable, reliable, and built to a high standard \nCollaborating closely with product, engineering, data, and research to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver high-quality outcomes \nCreating low- to high-fidelity designs and prototypes that communicate intent clearly and are ready for build \nApplying and evolving design systems and patterns, ensuring consistency while adapting to complex use cases \nContinuously raising the bar for clarity, simplicity, and design quality through evidenced examples \nWhy join us?\nWe’re investing billions in our people, places and tech to change the way we meet the needs of our 28 million customers. We’re growing, and we’d love you to be part of the journey.\nWhat we’re looking for?\nDemonstrable experience within Visual Design \nDemonstrable experience designing end-to-end product experiences, from early discovery and problem framing through to detailed interaction design and delivery \nStrong capability to work within complex domains, translating ambiguity into clear, structured customer journeys, information architectures, and interaction models \nStrong Visual Design and UX craft - you can move seamlessly from structure and flow into high-quality interface design that feels considered and coherent. You’ll do this by creating visually and engaging with customers and stakeholders through storytelling. \nExperience working across the full design lifecycle, using research, data, and iteration to shape and refine solutions \nExperience in solving visual design challenges and deliver experience-led brand digital journeys \nTons of energy and enthusiasm to bring visual design to where it’s needed \nClear understanding of web standards, accessibility, and inclusive design, and why this matters in products customers rely on daily \nProactive in using AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve design quality, speed, and exploration - and actively pushing beyond current ways of working \nA strong systems-thinking mindset, with the ability to bring clarity to complex problems and communicate them effectively to others \nAbility to hold a high bar for quality and craft, knowing what good looks like and consistently raising standards across your work \nComfortable working in a cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and research to deliver outcomes \nAnd any experience of these would be great\nExperience designing within business or commercial banking/financial services/fintech \nExperience in actively contributing to design systems, particularly where complexity and scalability are key \nExperience facilitating discovery, alignment, or modelling workshops to bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces \nAbility to work at multiple levels of abstraction, from high-level system thinking through to detailed interaction design \nMentoring or supporting others in developing systems thinking, interaction design, or design quality \nWe know that great talent comes from many backgrounds.
