The role requires high levels of technical aptitude, problem-solving ability and excellent teamwork skills to be successful.Influences project decisions having a significant impact on the company.\n• Applies technical knowledge to help promote a safe work environment and to enhance customer satisfaction\nJob Description:\nLeads and supports projects within scope, schedule, and cost.\n\nLeads and performs assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise.\n\nReviews functional specifications for completeness and consider practical limitations.\n\nCoordinates of design activities as a member of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers.\n\nReviews and authenticate designs.\n\nWork planning, coordination, budgeting, and cost estimating.\n\nDevelops and update single line diagrams, and design drawings, and equipment specifications.\n\nSupports material procurement as a subject matter expert.\n\nConducts high-level QA/QC design review, close gaps and manage lessons learned.\n\nProvides technical support to field and construction groups.\n\nUtilizes, develops, and improves engineering processes and standards.\n\nProvides reporting, including presentations to work groups and senior management.\n\nAssists the Supervisor in managing engineering contractors.\n\nParticipates, leads, and represents LUMA actively in industry technical activities.\n\nActs as an expert witness or provide expert opinions as required.\n\nPosition may be required to work extended hours including major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nAdditional Job Description:\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation and experience\nBS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college. Eight years of applicable engineering experience or a combination of education and applicable engineering experience.
