the disconnection and reconnection of private substations, and the issuance of electrical certifications for new customers.\n\nSupervises daily team operations by assigning tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring timely execution of work while coordinating career development plans, goal-setting, and integration of strategic initiatives across Engineering groups.\n\nGuides Engineers through coaching, identifying skill gaps, managing performance and succession planning, and addressing employee concerns using strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.\n\nEnsures technical consistency and quality by leading engineering practices, resolving escalated technical issues, and collaborating with other Supervising Engineers to align standards and process improvements with broader strategic objectives.\n\nCoordinates operational excellence and innovation by initiating process improvements, optimizing resource utilization across the group, and analyzing performance metrics to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and necessary enhancements to engineering standards.\n\nTracks team expenses, payroll and ensures adherence to budget guidelines to support cost control.\n\nMonitors and guides team compliance with organizational standards and legal requirements to minimize risk and ensure operational integrity.\n\nParticipates in and ensures team participation in critical restoration tasks and drills following storms and/or emergencies to maintain service continuity and operational safety.\n\nExecutes and delegates additional responsibilities based on team and business needs to ensure continuity and responsiveness in operational responsiveness.\n\nAdditional Job Description:\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferred).\n\nExperience\n8 years' relevant engineering experience performing functional role responsibilities, with at least 2 years' experience leading engineering teams.\n\n5 years' experience working in Utility Electrical industry.\n\nPrevious experience working in Distribution (preferred).\n\nAdditional experience may substitute for required education when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role:\nMaster’s degree in Engineering may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 6 years of progressive relevant engineering experience with at least 1 year experience leading engineering teams or as Sr. Engineer along with the required licenses and certifications.\n\nCompetencies (Skills)\nLeadership & Team Management: Oversees daily operations by assigning priorities, guiding performance, and supporting career development to ensure an engaged and productive engineering team.\n\nTechnical Problem -Solving: Resolves escalated engineering issues and applies strong analytical skills to maintain technical quality, consistency, and adherence to standards.\n\nStrategic Process Improvement: Evaluates performance metrics, identifies improvement opportunities, and drives operational excellence through process optimization and resource utilization.\n\nCollaboration & Communication: Works effectively with Engineering groups and Supervising Engineers to align initiatives, integrate strategic objectives, and sustain a positive, collaborative environment.\n\nBudget & Resource Oversight: Tracks expenses and payroll while ensuring adherence to budget guidelines to support cost control and efficient resource management.\n\nLicenses/Certifications\nRequired:\nProfessional Engineer License issued by the Examining Board for Engineers, Architects, Surveyors and Landscape Architects of Puerto Rico.\n\nBe a member of the Puerto Rico College of Engineers and Land Surveyors (CIAPR).\n\nValid driver's license\n\nTravel
