We are employee owned and relationship powered.\nTravel: The Operations Manager will be required to travel to various Lumbermen's locations within their first 6 months to learn from our current distribution centers. They will learn how to receive, pull, and load James Hardie and other materials.\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Operations Manager will work in our Youngstown, OH location to help lead our warehouse team in working alongside our suppliers, customers, and sales team to deliver superior products in our building materials segment. The primary responsibilities for this position include:\nModeling and communicating Lumbermen’s mission, vision, and promise to all employee owners\nProviding overall leadership and direction for the Youngstown and Warren division\nRecruiting, hiring, training and developing an exceptional team\nSetting operational goals, tracking progress, and making necessary changes to meet those goals\nManaging, providing ongoing feedback to, and facilitating performance check ins for all Youngstown division employee owners\nMonitoring key operational performance measures such as: service quality, expense budgets, adherence to labor budgets, and other productivity measures\nAnalyzing capital expenditures and preparing expenditure justifications\nManaging divisional P & L and working to improve efficiency and increase revenue\nEnsuring compliance with safety/OSHA/DOT regulations\nOverseeing fleet maintenance in conjunction with transportation team\nDrive and model Lumbermen’s Safety Program and initiatives to ensure employee owner safety\nSourcing, coordinating, and facilitating building and ground maintenance, utility, and packaging supplies for the Youngstown and Warren Division\nEnsuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures\nModeling and leading a culture of continuous improvement using lean principles and encouraging the sharing of ideas and suggestions\nActing as a process improvement champion\nThis position will start in Warren, OH and then move to our location in Youngstown, OH once the building has been built.\nAt Lumbermen’s, we pride ourselves on treating our customers like family and delivering exceptional service.
