We are employee owned and relationship powered.\nShift: Monday - Thursday 6PM to 4AM\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nBased out of our Byron Center, MI facility, the Stone Fabrication team fabricates quartz, granite, and other hard surface countertops. Day-to-day responsibilities include:\nStone Countertop Fabrication team is responsible for:\nJob layout and optimization of materials\nProperly measuring and cutting materials (includes the use of state-of-the-art Saw/Waterjet machines, CNC machines and polishers)\nBuilding countertops to customer specifications\nQuality inspection and staging of materials for shipment or installation.\nPreparing and labeling countertops for shipment\nCNC Operation\nLocating and running job programs on CNC machine\nProcessing customer orders in a timely manner ensuring excellent quality of all products.\nAlways maintaining safe work procedures.\nMaintaining the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the work area as assigned by the Production Manager\nAt Lumbermen’s, our business is built on relationships. It’s crucial that the person selected to fill this role is a safety-minded team player who gets energy from contributing to collaborative success. \nThis position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance for uniform, protective footwear, and PPE.\nWHO WE NEED:\nHigh School diploma/GED required\nPrior CNC Experience is a plus\nHilo operator’s license (will train if needed)\nPrior fabrication or construction experience desired\nAbility to do physical labor including lifting of up to 100 lbs\nAbility to stand for 8-10 hours/day\nAbility to bend, twist, and stoop\nKEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS\nAttention to detail.\nTeamwork mentality\nMechanical Aptitude\nPunctual and dependable\nStrong positive work ethic\nDesire to “do things right the first time”\nAbility to read and interpret shop drawings and fabricate from digital templates and CAD drawings.\nAbility to read a tape measure and understand dimensions.\nKnowledge of mathematics including fractions and decimals\nAbility to effectively work and communicate with fellow employee owners\nAbility to or willingness to learn to operate tools listed above and obtain new skills\nKnowledge of structural design integrity\nSelf-starter\nWHAT WE OFFER:\nLumbermen’s exists to enrich the lives of people by intentionally caring for all who experience us.
