This role serves as the primary liaison between the internal program Quality Control representative, customer Quality Control organizations, and internal engineering teams, ensuring all infrastructure projects meet established engineering standards, customer requirements, and operational objectives.\nActing as the first-line point of contact for the internal program Quality Control representative and customer Quality Control personnel, the Field Engineering Quality Control Engineer provides technical leadership, facilitates inspections and audits, drives corrective actions, and ensures the accuracy of project documentation.\nThe Main Responsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nLead logistics projects from planning through delivery, acceptance, and closeout.\nDevelop and manage project scope, schedules, milestones, resource requirements, budgets, risks, and deliverables.\nCoordinate project activities across logistics, engineering, procurement, finance, security, transportation providers, contractors, and customer teams.\nManage detailed material-shipping activities, including transportation planning, secure handling, shipment tracking, delivery coordination, receipt, and documentation.\nSupport and maintain the program’s secure-shipping standard operating procedures.\nBuild and sustain strategic relationships with Long Haul Transport carriers and White Glove service providers.\nCoordinate carrier capacity, equipment, specialized handling, site access, delivery, placement, unpacking, and related White Glove requirements.\nProcess and track purchase requests, goods receipts, invoices, proofs of delivery, chain-of-custody records, Bill of Lading, and other logistics documentation.\nLead project meetings, status reviews, stakeholder communications, and Senior Leadership-level reporting when required.\nIdentify and mitigate project and logistics risks affecting cost, schedule, security, readiness, and program delivery.\nResolve shipment delays, material discrepancies, damage claims, provider performance issues, and other delivery exceptions.\nDevelop project plans, logistics procedures, performance metrics, status reports, and corrective-action plans.\nConduct site visits to validate requirements, assess delivery conditions, coordinate field activities, and resolve operational issues.\nEnsure compliance with federal, contractual, transportation, safety, security, and site-specific requirements.\nWhat We Look For in a Candidate\nRequired Competencies\nQuality Assurance and Quality Control Management\nField Engineering and Infrastructure Deployment\nInside Plant (ISP) Network Infrastructure\nTechnical Documentation Review and Validation\nProcess Improvement\nTechnical Communication and Reporting\nCross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, information technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.\nDemonstrated technical experience with telecommunications Inside Plant infrastructure, design principles, construction practices, and installation methods.\nExperience supporting site surveys, ISP design, equipment installation, and infrastructure implementation.\nStrong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and deliverables.\nProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and related business applications.\nCurrent, valid driver’s license.\nActive TS/SCI security clearance.\nAbility and willingness to travel up to 50%.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer certification.\nProject Management Professional certification.\nExperience supporting telecommunications implementations within Government, defense, public-sector, or other security-sensitive environments.\nFamiliarity with quality-control and site-acceptance processes for telecommunications installations.\nCompensation\nThis information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
