This role combines advanced networking expertise with collaboration and leadership to ensure optimal network performance, security, and scalability across the organization. The position requires working with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, and developing innovative solutions for complex networking challenges while maintaining high availability and security standards.\nLocation\nThis role is designated as a fully remote position within the United States.\nThis role is designated as a fully remote position within the United States.\nThe Main Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and maintain complex enterprise network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.\nUnderstand and drive network integration requirements for security initiatives, including firewall configurations, VPN implementations, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.\nMonitor and optimize network performance through advanced diagnostic tools, implementing necessary adjustments for enhanced efficiency.\nDesign, implement, and manage cloud network architectures, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration with on-premises systems.\nProvide high-level technical guidance and resolve escalated issues from lower support tiers while maintaining system stability.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including detailed network diagrams, design references, and standard operating procedures.\nCollaborate with technology vendors and stakeholders to implement business-focused networking solutions.\nMentor and provide technical leadership to junior network engineers while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.\nPlan and execute network capacity improvements, failure testing, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.\nUtilize automation tools and scripts to streamline and improve efficiency for network deployments and operations.\nWhat We Look For in a Candidate\nRequired Qualifications:\nNetworking Technologies: Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing enterprise-level services including advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), virtual routing (VRFs), and network segmentation.\nSD-WAN: Proven experience in designing and maintaining SD-WAN environments utilizing technologies such as Cisco and Palo Alto Networks.\nHardware Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of network hardware configuration and maintenance, including platforms such as Cisco, Arista, or Juniper.\nNetworking Principles: Advanced understanding of TCP/IP networking principles, OSI model, and enterprise network architecture best practices.\nCloud Networking: Expertise in cloud networking technologies and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with experience in designing and managing hybrid and multi-cloud environments.\nAutomation: Proficiency in network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible) to enhance operational efficiency.\nLeadership: Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nNetwork Security: Hands-on experience with enterprise network security systems, including next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, and DDoS mitigation strategies for at least 3 years.\nNetwork Load-Balancer: Understanding of network traffic load-balancing technologies, such as local traffic management and global server load-balancing.\nCompensation\nThis information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.
