If you’re ready to take ownership, deliver meaningful impact, and help shape the future of AI-ready connectivity, join us today.\nThe Role\nLumen is seeking a Senior Lead Architect - SAP BRIM to lead the architecture, design, and modernization of our customer financial platforms supporting billing, invoicing, payments, collections, and accounts receivable operations.This role is ideal for a hands-on architect with deep expertise in SAP BRIM Convergent Invoicing (CI), FI-CA, and Convergent Mediation (CM) who can partner with business and technology teams to define solutions, drive architecture decisions, and deliver scalable enterprise platforms. Experience with Subscription Order Management (SOM) and Convergent Charging (CC) is highly desirable.You will play a key leadership role in shaping the future of Lumen's billing and financial systems while supporting large-scale transformation and modernization initiatives.\nLocation\nThis role is designated as a fully remote position within the United States.\nThe Main Responsibilities\nLead solution architecture and design for SAP BRIM with primary focus on:Convergent Invoicing (CI)\nFI-CA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable)\nConvergent Mediation (CM)\n\nProvide architecture leadership for:Billing and invoicing\nPayments and cash application\nCollections and dunning\nCustomer statements\nAdjustments, refunds, and write-offs\nCash accounting and financial reconciliation\n\nWork closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.\nLead architecture workshops, technical discovery sessions, design reviews, and solution discussions.\nDesign and govern integrations between SAP BRIM and:SAP S/4HANA FICO\nSalesforce and CRM platforms\nPayment gateways and banking systems\nCustomer portals and digital channels\nEnterprise data and reporting platforms\n\nDefine API, event-driven, and batch integration patterns using SAP Integration Suite (CPI), REST services, messaging platforms, and file-based interfaces.\nSupport vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, RFP responses, and strategic technology initiatives.\nMentor development teams and establish architecture standards and best practices.\nWhat We Look For in a Candidate\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field.\n10+ years of enterprise application, solution architecture, or SAP experience.\n5+ years of SAP BRIM experience with deep expertise in:Convergent Invoicing (CI)\nFI-CA\nConvergent Mediation (CM)\n\nStrong understanding of:Billing and invoicing\nAccounts receivable\nPayments and collections\nCash application\nCash accounting\nSAP FICO integration\n\nExperience integrating SAP solutions with external platforms, payment processors, banks, CRM systems, and customer-facing applications.\nStrong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to lead technical workshops and convert business requirements into practical solution designs.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with SAP SOM and Convergent Charging (CC).\nTelecommunications, subscription billing, or recurring revenue industry experience.\nExperience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI), APIs, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.\nExperience supporting billing modernization, ERP transformation, or large-scale integration initiatives.\nKnowledge of cloud technologies, automation, and AI-enabled business solutions.\nCompensation\nThis information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
