Join us in building the future.\nThe Role\nThe Customer Service Technician will be performing the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of high-speed internet networks including associated wiring and equipment. Additionally, maintaining and repairing outside plant facilities.\nLocation and Schedule\nThis is a full-time position located in Tillamook, OR. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm\nThe Main Responsibilities\nPerform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-speed internet, networks including associated wiring and equipment.\nClimbing poles, using a shovel and pick to dig up and bury cable; and may be required to work in manholes or controlled environmental vaults. Locate buried telephone cables.\nObserving all safety rules and regulations. Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested.\nMust convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company’s products and services to our customers. \nActively support sales and marketing related activities, direct customer facing work and sales referrals.\nAccountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled and serve on call as needed).\nTeamwork (technical expertise developed to complete work efficiently to achieve work group key service measures).\nActive Listening (ability to take input from customers, supervisors and co-workers to problem solve and improve skills).\nAsking relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions.\nActive Learning (curious seeker of new information and actively works to improve skills and knowledge). All other duties as assigned.\nWhat We Look For in a Candidate\nHigh School diploma (or equivalent) or higher.\nAbility to distinguish colors on facilities.\nAbility to handle 28 ft extension ladders (up to 75 lbs. routine work) and manhole covers (up to 150 lbs.).\nAbility to successfully complete service tech boot camp training, POTS/DSL installation/repair, cable splicing/maintenance, basic transmissions, air pressure, and HSI installations.\nBasic computer skills including MS Office applications.\nAbility to work in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces, utility holes,) ability to work aloft (ladder).\nAbility to work outside in all weather conditions.
