Provide accurate record keeping associated with product assembly. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment consistent with Lumencor’s standard practices.\nEssential Functions:\nInterpret procedural documents and assemble products according to instructions\nAccurate record keeping associated with product assembly.\nMaintain organized workstation in compliance with Lumencor standards.\nPerform in-process test, rework, and quality measurements.\nRecognize potential product assembly errors and initiate appropriate quality procedures.\nInterface well with Manufacturing Manager and other Lumencor employees to accomplish department goals.\nWork required hours and adhere to Lumencor attendance policy\nProactively seek opportunities to assist in completing manufacturing department goals\nAdhere to clean room, safety, and ESD policies and procedures\nMaintain an awareness of department goals and actively participate in implementing solutions.\nProvide training to Manufacturing staff as directed by Manufacturing Manager.\nProactively seek improvements for manufacturing processes with minimal supervision.\nServe as subject matter expert (SME) expert for one or more product lines\nCompetencies:\nAbility to assemble with minimal supervision.\nAttention to Detail - Minimal errors associated with product assembly.\nAbility to accurately and consistently perform computer data entry.\nAbility to recognize inconsistent or inaccurate test results.\nAbility to effectively communicate information associated with quality problems.\nAbility to inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.\nEducation Training and Experience:\nThis position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years experience in electromechanical assembly. Solder experience is required.\nPreferred Training and Experience: Testing experience. IPC Certification, experience assembling products containing optics and lasers.\nSkills and Abilities:\nLanguage Skills:\nEnglish language fluency. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations and other employees of the organization.\nMathematical Skills:\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.\nComputer Skills:\nExperience with email and office programs. Experience using database systems, FileMaker Pro preferred. Experience using spreadsheets and creating charts. Continual walking, sitting, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching occurs, with some heavy lifting and carrying. The Assembler will occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.\nGross and fine motor skills, including movement control, finger dexterity, and sensitivity.
