This is not just another job; this is your chance to define & design what’s next in photonics.\nLumentum is seeking a talented senior Electronics Engineer to develop leading edge electro-optic optical cross connect switch PCBAs. The successful candidate will be capable of priming complex PCBA designs, working independently and with teams to define, simulate and deliver winning and manufacturable products. In this capacity, the candidate will possess detailed knowledge of analog/digital design techniques, PCBA design, team leading skills, simulation and applicable technologies.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nLead the design and development of advanced hardware for optical systems, from concept to production.\nLead extended team during development process.\nDefine and evaluate components (amplifiers, transistors, uC, ADC/DAC, etc) and circuitries for the analog designs such as Laser drivers, TIAs, power supplies, etc.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, optical, MFG, and mechanical. \nConduct rigorous hardware testing and validation to ensure performance and reliability.\nDefine and develop test requirements and support the product through the NPI lifecycle. \nCreate detailed schematics, guide PCB layouts, and perform simulations using industry-standard CAD tools (Cadence, Ansys)\nWhat We’re Looking For\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and minimum 10 years of applicable experience.\nExpertise in complex PCBA design.\nExpertise in leading a small team (layout, junior designers, verification engineers)\nProficiency in hardware design and simulation tools such as Cadence and Ansys.\nHands-on experience with testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).\nProficiency in a low frequency analog and mixed signal.\nExtensive knowledge of electronic components and circuits property, fabrication processes, assembly processes.\nExperience in a power/digital design and in control systems is an asset.\nKnowledge of optical architectures and systems is an asset.\nKnowledge of DC power circuitry would be an asset.\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work with teams, both local and remote.\nPerks You’ll Love\nFlexible time off\nHealth and wellness benefits (physical and mental)\nTuition reimbursement and career growth support\nA workplace built for you: free gym, games room, prayer room\nSubsidized meals, free coffee/tea\nEmployee stock options and incentive plans\nA collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture\nSalary Range: $110,625 - 149,675 CAD (flexible).\nFinal compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
