Pathum Thani\nPosition Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical support for manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and automation within Lumentum’s optical and photonic manufacturing operations.\nThis role partners with Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Process Engineering, Facilities, EHS, and Quality teams to ensure electrical systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently while supporting production readiness and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nElectrical Engineering & Production Support\nProvide technical support for electrical systems, manufacturing equipment, control panels, and automation systems.\n\nTroubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, control, and equipment-related issues.\n\nAnalyze recurring failures and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.\n\nSupport equipment installation, setup, qualification, and release to production.\n\nReview electrical designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and equipment documentation.\n\nEquipment Reliability & Improvement\nImprove equipment reliability, uptime, safety, and manufacturing performance.\n\nDevelop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for electrical systems.\n\nLead electrical upgrades, equipment modifications, and automation-improvement projects.\n\nIdentify opportunities to reduce downtime, energy consumption, maintenance costs, and operational risks.\n\nSupport spare-parts planning and obsolescence management for critical electrical components.\n\nProject & Change Management\nLead or support electrical-engineering projects from design through installation and commissioning.\n\nCoordinate with suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are achieved.\n\nConduct technical and safety risk assessments before implementing electrical changes.\n\nMaintain engineering drawings, specifications, validation records, and change-control documentation.\n\nSafety & Compliance\nEnsure electrical systems comply with company requirements, engineering standards, and applicable legal regulations.\n\nSupport electrical safety, machine safety, lockout/tagout, and EHS improvement activities.\n\nSupport internal, external, and regulatory audits.\n\nProvide technical guidance and training to technicians and production teams.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.\n\nAt least five years of experience in electrical engineering, equipment engineering, automation, or manufacturing support.\n\nExperience in optical, photonic, semiconductor, electronics, or high-technology manufacturing is preferred.\n\nStrong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, motors, sensors, power supplies, PLCs, and industrial automation.\n\nAbility to read and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.\n\nStrong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.\n\nExperience with equipment installation, qualification, preventive maintenance, and engineering change control.\n\nGood project-management and cross-functional collaboration skills.\n\nGood command of written and spoken English.\n\nPreferred Competencies\nElectrical Technical Expertise\n\nEquipment Troubleshooting\n\nSafety and Risk Management\n\nProject Execution\n\nData-Driven Problem-Solving\n\nCross-functional Collaboration\n\nAccountability and Results Orientation\n\nContinuous Improvement Mindset\n\nWorking Conditions\nWork in office, engineering laboratory, cleanroom, and manufacturing-floor environments.\n\nOccasional overtime or support outside normal working hours may be required for equipment installation or urgent production issues.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.\nWe do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
