This role ensures compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements while applying engineering and statistical methods to improve process stability, yield, and cost of quality across fabrication processes. As a Quality Engineer, you will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and customers to ensure the consistent delivery of high-performance, reliable products.\nRole and Responsibilities:\nQMS & Compliance:\nSupport compliance with ISO 9001 and internal QMS requirements\nMaintain quality procedures, work instructions, and records\nSupport internal, customer, and certification audits\nExecute CAPA using structured problem-solving methods (8D, DMAIC)\nSupport document control, change management, and traceability\nSupport supplier quality activities, including incoming quality and SCARs\nProcess Quality & Manufacturing Support:\nCollaborate with fabrication, coating, polishing, and engineering teams to support process stability and yield\nProvide day-to-day production support to resolve quality issues and minimize downtime\nSupport review of process changes, deviations, and nonconformances\nPerform root cause analysis for scrap, rework, and yield loss\nSupport NPI, process qualification, and validation efforts\nData Analytics, SPC & Yield:\nImplement and maintain SPC on critical process parameters\nAnalyze process capability (Cp/Cpk/Ppk), yield, and defect trends\nDevelop reports and dashboards for quality and yield metrics\nPerform analysis including DOE, Pareto, and trend analysis\nUtilize MES/SPC tools for early detection of process excursions\nRisk, Inspection & Nonconformance:\nParticipate in PFMEA/DFMEA and maintain risk assessments\nSupport development of control plans, inspection strategies, and sampling plans\nSupport MSA / Gauge R&R, calibration, and inspection validation\nSupport MRB activities, nonconformance handling, and corrective actions\nTrack scrap, rework, and customer escape trends; support FA/RMA activities\nContinuous Improvement & Collaboration:\nSupport Lean improvement initiatives\nIdentify opportunities to improve yield, reliability, and process capability\nTrain operators and technicians on quality and inspection standards\nCollaborate across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams\nQualifications and Education:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field\n2-5+ years in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing\nStrong background in process quality, SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis\nEffective cross-functional communication skills\nPreferred Skills:\nKnowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS processes\nExperience with SPC, DOE, FMEA, CAPA, and control plans\nProficiency with Minitab, JMP, Python, Tableau, or similar tools\nFamiliarity with semiconductor, optical, or precision manufacturing\nSalary Range:\nThe salary range for this position is $70,500 - 130,000USD.
