In this role, you will contribute to the development and management of wafer fabrication processes for indium phosphide (InP)-based semiconductor optical components.\nThis is an on-site, shift-based position 4 days on, 4 days off.\nRole Overview\nThe Chip R&D team is responsible for developing and introducing into production advanced photonic devices, including lasers, modulators, receivers, and photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for cloud and networking applications.\nAs a Process Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in translating device designs into manufacturable, high-performing semiconductor chips. This requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges with tangible commercial impact.\nKey Responsibilities\nIntegrate wafer fabrication processes to deliver new InP-based products, including coherent and direct detection photonic components\nOptimize existing wafer fab processes to improve yield, cost, and cycle time\nDevelop and maintain process flows and documentation within the MES system\nMonitor and evaluate product performance throughout the development cycle\nUse analytical tools (e.g., SEM) to investigate and improve process performance\nDevelop new process modules and ensure scalability for high-volume manufacturing\nSupport the transfer of new processes and products into production\nApply Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., FMEA, capability analysis, design for manufacturability/yield) for process and product improvement\nPresent process data and statistical analyses to support manufacturability decisions\nAct as the key interface between design, operations engineering, and manufacturing teams\nServe as the process expert for products, including post-transfer support in production\nSkills and Experience\nEssential Qualifications & Experience\nDegree in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field (relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu).
