Ltd. is seeking a talented Test Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust test automation solutions for our cutting-edge optical and photonic products. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our hardware throughout its lifecycle.\nJob Responsibilities**\n* Design, develop, and implement automated test software for new product introduction (NPI), primarily using VB.NET, C#, Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages.\n* Develop and maintain test frameworks, libraries, and tools to streamline the test development process and improve efficiency.\n* Collaborate closely with other development engineers in Ottawa and Shenzhen.\n* Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.\n* Perform software verification and validation, including unit testing, integration testing, and system-level testing.\n* Participate in design reviews and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards.\n* Continuously research and evaluate new test technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance test capabilities.\nJob Qualifications**\n* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.\n* 2+ years of experience in test software development, preferably in a manufacturing or R&D environment.\n* Strong programming skills in VB.NET, C#, Python, SQL, etc.\n* Additional skill set on AI tool is a plus.\n* Experience with test equipment automation and instrument control\n* Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., SCADA, PLC, GPIB, USB, Ethernet, RS-232).\n* Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).\n* Knowledge of optical and photonic components, systems, or test methodologies is a plus.\n* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.\n* Require written and
