Guides all phases of the development lifecycle. Serves as a Subject Matter expert and helps ensure industry leadership. Mentors junior and off-shore team members and contributes to team upskilling.Job Description:\nPrimary Responsibilities\nOversees and guides project teams to ensure complex deliverables are reviewed, tested, and delivered on time and within budget. Reviews code to find causes of errors and revises programs as needed. \nProvides expertise and guides in all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle while working with distributed, cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative environment (Product team, Engineers, Development Leads, Architects, Quality Engineers, etc.). \nPartners cross-functionally and contributes to the architectural strategies and infrastructure deployment of our platform(s). Identifies and evaluates new technologies for implementation. \nPlans and executes unit, integration and performance testing to ensure reliability and scalability. \nIdentifies, develops, implements, and evangelizes newly developed best practices, software development techniques, company standards, and frameworks with other teams within the organization. \nDevelops advanced skills of colleagues through peer collaboration, mentoring, and training. \nServes as a subject matter expert and represents the team as needed. \nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree in related field (i.e. Computer Science) or equivalent \n8+ years experience in an Enterprise development environment or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role \nExpert knowledge of software development lifecycles and their utilization in software projects \nExperience building, deploying, and supporting secure, production mobile apps built with React Native and Expo through both the App Store and Play Store \nExperience with mobile state management and secure local storage \nExperience building REST APIs using Node.js, preferably with NestJS \nHands-on experience on AWS/GCP \nExperiencing collaborating and overseeing technical work done by offshore teams \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work constructively in a collaborative Agile team environment \nHigh-caliber problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the proven ability to identify, develop, communicate, implement, and guide process improvements and strategic initiatives \nPreferred:\nExperience in the healthcare industry \nDeep knowledge of iOS and Android platform internals (lifecycle, threading, memory, background execution limits) \nExperience with Firebase (push notifications, messaging) in a mobile app \nExperience designing accessible mobile UI to WCAG 2.2 AA standards \nExperience with crash reporting and monitoring tools (Crashlytics, Sentry, or similar) \nMobile-specific CI/CD experience: build pipelines, code signing, provisioning, staged rollouts, and rollback strategy \nExperience authoring IaC assets using Terraform or OpenTofu \nExperience in Python-based web development (e.g. FastAPI) \nMobile security expertise: secure storage, keychain/keystore, certificate pinning, and awareness of mobile-specific OWASP risks \nTrack record of leading production incident response, mentoring engineers, and setting enforceable mobile engineering standards \nPay Transparency:\nFactors that may be used to determine your actual pay rate include your specific skills, experience, qualifications, location, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to the base salary, certain roles may qualify for a performance-based incentive and/or equity, with eligibility depending on the position.
