We’re just getting started.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\nWe are seeking a DSP Engineer to join our growing team. This role combines deep digital signal processing expertise with hands-on hardware design experience to advance Lumilens’ measurement capabilities for ultra-high-speed serial data systems supporting AI infrastructure applications. The successful candidate will help improve the accuracy, reliability, and performance of advanced measurements and related algorithms, including work aligned with IEEE 802.3 where Lumilens has strategic interest.\nWhat You'll Do:\nServe as a subject matter expert for high-speed serial data measurements, combining advanced DSP expertise with practical hardware design knowledge.\n\nDevelop and refine advanced measurement techniques and algorithms for ultra-high-speed optical and electrical signaling systems.\n\nImprove TECQ/TDECQ measurement accuracy and related algorithms to support more precise and reliable results across Lumilens’ product development efforts.\n\nSupport advanced measurement work aligned with IEEE 802.3 standards and Lumilens’ strategic technical priorities.\n\nContribute to Functional Receiver measurement work while maintaining appropriate confidentiality around patent-pending details.\n\nResearch, design, and develop tools for ultra-high-speed serial data applications in AI infrastructure.\n\nDrive hardware improvements that reduce timebase jitter toward 100 fs, improving upon current architectures above 250 fs.\n\nKey Qualifications:\nStrong expertise in digital signal processing for high-speed serial data measurements.\n\nHands-on hardware design experience for high-speed measurement systems, optical transceivers, or related photonics/electrical test platforms.\n\nDemonstrated experience with advanced measurement algorithms, signal integrity, jitter analysis, and high-bandwidth instrumentation.\n\nFamiliarity with IEEE 802.3 measurement methodologies and optical communication standards.\n\nAbility to translate complex measurement challenges into practical algorithms, tools, and hardware improvements.\n\nStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, research, and product teams.\n\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience with TECQ/TDECQ measurements, equalization, waveform processing, and receiver modeling.\n\nBackground in optical communications, high-speed SerDes, photonics, or AI infrastructure interconnect technologies.\n\nExperience developing measurement automation tools, test platforms, or custom instrumentation workflows.\n\nAdvanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Applied Physics, or a related technical discipline.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nCompetitive salary commensurate with experience\nComprehensive benefits package including health insurance\nProfessional development opportunities and certification support\nAccess to cutting-edge technology and cloud platforms\nCollaborative work environment with cross-functional teams\nInnovate with a Silicon Valley headquartered team, change the world\nLumilens is an equal opportunity employer.
