We’re just getting started.\nAbout the Role\nAs an Optical Product Test Engineer specializing in software automation, you will work on test automation and networking protocols. You will help validate complex systems at Layer 1 and Layer 2 using tools like Ixia and build Python based frameworks.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, maintain, and execute automated test cases in Python.\n\nPerform functional, regression, and performance testing on Layer 1 and Layer network systems.\n\nValidate hardware and software integration with optical interfaces and network switches.\n\nConfigure and use traffic generators (e.g., IXIA) to simulate network environments and evaluate performance.\n\nCollaborate with developers and hardware engineers to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects.\n\nDocument test cases, results, and defects in test management tools.\n\nMaintain code and test assets in version control systems (GitHub or Bitbucket). Continuously improve test frameworks and methodologies.\n\nCollaborate with design engineer and manufacturing teams to define and develop the test software for the high volume manufacturing of the high-end optical component manufacturing\n\nClosely collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing yield, efficiency and cost\n\nOwner of Manufacturing test scripts creating, maintaining, changing control.\n\nManage manufacturing software change control processes, system, through the execution.\n\nCollaborate with software engineer, IT and database to define the better solutions of manufacturing test data in reliability, reasonable cost, high efficiency and scalability.\n\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.\n\n4-8 years of hands-on experience in software testing and test automation of products used in optical networking.\n\nStrong proficiency in Python for test automation.\n\nGood understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking protocols.\n\nExperience with optical testing, network switches, and traffic generators like IXIA.\n\nAbility to debug issues in complex networking environments.\n\nExperience with Jenkins or ArgoCD other CI/CD tools.\n\nFamiliarity with Shell scripting for automation and environment setup.\n\nExposure to C# for UI validation or tool development is a plus.\n\nEducation & Background:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.\n\nExperience in automated test system development for electronics and optics manufacturing.\n\nExperienced in optical products testing equipment and coding.\n\nKnowledge and experience in the optical transceiver manufacturing will be plus.\n\nTechnical Skills:\nC# .NET (Framework or Core).\n\nFamiliar with OOP concepts such as class, interface, inheritance and polymorphism.\n\nFamiliar with Windows Form or WPF.\n\nHardware communication protocols: NI-VISA, SCPI, RS-232, TCP/IP.\n\nExperienced in test instruments such as optical oscilloscopes, optical power meters, optical switches and network switches.\n\nDatabase integration: SQL, NoSQL for test data logging and analysis.\n\nVersion control tools: Github, Bitbucket or SVN.\n\nExperience with optical transceivers, especially silicon photonics (SiPh), is a plus\n\nGood command in English communication both verbal and written.
