This role is critical in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts, including B2B SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements, ensuring robust compliance with financial regulations, data privacy standards, and corporate policies. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong commercial insight to facilitate product commercialization, proactively mitigates legal and business risks, and integrates legal considerations effectively into strategic operations.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities:\nSupport a west-coast growth team in revenue-generating contract negotiations\n\nStructure, draft, review, and negotiate diverse contracts, including complex SaaS, technology, customer, and vendor agreements.\n\nProvide legal representation and guidance within senior leadership and business unit meetings.\n\nConduct training sessions for new hires and ongoing contract training for Sales, Client Experience, Business Development, and Legal teams.\n\nDevelop, implement, and refine legal department policies and operational procedures.\n\nManage contract disputes through strategic negotiations and supervise external counsel effectively within budget constraints.\n\nAdvise internal teams on contract terms, regulatory compliance, business implications, and risk management strategies.\n\nLead negotiations of strategic partnerships and contracts, facilitating approvals from key internal stakeholders.\n\nEnsure contract compliance aligns with the company's legal standards and commercial objectives.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to type, handle, or feel and talk or hear\n\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision\n\nAbility to occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds\n\nIndividuals with a disability who are otherwise able to perform the essential functions of the job may request reasonable accommodation through the Human Resources department.\n\nOther physical activities may be required to support business operations.\n\nPosition Specifications\nEducation:\nJuris Doctor (JD) Degree from ABA accredited law school required.\n\nActive state bar membership in good standing required.\n\nExperience:\n3 years of experience as an in-house attorney, specifically focused on drafting, analyzing, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts.\n\nExperience and expertise in negotiating technology contracts, particularly B2B SaaS agreements required.\n\nPrior experience in financial services or fintech sectors is highly desirable.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nStrong command of contract law and intellectual property principles, particularly as they relate to SaaS and technology products.\n\nExcellent communication, writing, and analytical skills, capable of effectively presenting complex legal concepts to diverse audiences.\n\nExceptional professionalism, discretion, and integrity in managing sensitive information and negotiations.\n\nProven relationship-building skills across all organizational levels, including executives, attorneys, vendors, and clients.\n\nAbility to manage and prioritize multiple complex contracts and tasks within a fast-paced, evolving environment.\n\nTeam-oriented, collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.\n\nProficiency in legal operations software and related business applications.\n\nTravel:\nMinimal, generally 12 days or less per year, ~2X team get togethers a year\n\nLIFE AT LUMIN DIGITAL\nLumin Digital is a trailblazer in digital banking solutions, driven by a unique approach to technology, service, and people.
