This role offers a unique opportunity to integrate data across systems, design new models and solutions, and support Luminor’s evolving regulatory requirements. You’ll play a central role in shaping scalable data architectures, building reliable data pipelines, and defining best practices that will guide the future of data engineering in risk reporting\n\nDesign, implement, and continuously improve systems for data ingestion, processing, storage, and sharing\n\nBuild and optimize data architectures for performance, scalability, and reliability\n\nDevelop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using modern tools and frameworks\n\nEnsure seamless integration and synchronization across systems\n\nUphold high standards of data quality, security, availability, and performance\n\nCollaborate with analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions\n\nPerform code reviews, troubleshoot software, and fix defects\n\nImplement monitoring and alerting for data workflows\n\nGain expertise in a variety of banking processes and products\n\nWork as part of a cross-functional Agile development team in a Pan-Baltic, international environment\n\nRequirements\n\n3-5+ experience in a Data engineer position or a similar position, experience in financial industry considered as an advantage.\n\nProven experience with SQL and Python; Other ETL engines are a plus\n\nExperience with both SQL and NoSQL databases\n\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)\n\nExperience with container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker)\n\nUnderstanding of streaming data pipelines and platforms (Kafka, Spark, Flink)\n\nFamiliarity with data pipeline tools like Airflow or dbt\n\nExperience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)\n\nKnowledge of solution integrations (real-time, message-based, event-driven)\n\nExposure to test automation and DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code and security best practices\n\nExperience within the risk or finance business domain is a strong advantage\n\nAbility to take ownership and drive initiatives independently\n\nFluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level\n\nCompany offers\n\nFlexibility.
