This role will partner with finance stakeholders to maintain accurate accounting records, improve accounting processes, support system functionality, and help ensure compliance with corporate policies and segregation of duties requirements. The role may also support accounts payable, billing, and related finance activities as business needs evolve.Key Responsibilities\nAccounting Operations\nManage and support day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger processes and accounting support functions.\nSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations.\nReview accounting transactions and financial records for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with corporate policies.\nProvide accounting support for cross-functional stakeholders and global finance teams.\nGeneral Ledger and System Support\nServe as a key resource for general ledger administration and related accounting system functionality.\nSupport process improvements, system enhancements, and accounting workflow optimization.\nPartner with Finance, IT, and business users to troubleshoot accounting system issues and improve transactional efficiency.\nAssist with accounting setup, process design, and system-related support connected to business growth or control requirements.\nControls, Compliance, and Review\nSupport implementation and ongoing monitoring of segregation of duties controls.\nHelp identify control gaps, process risks, and opportunities to strengthen the accounting control environment.\nParticipate in internal and external audit support activities as needed.\nMaintain documentation and ensure accounting practices are aligned to company standards and applicable requirements.\nAP, Billing, and Operational Support\nProvide support for accounts payable, billing, and accounting review activities as assigned.\nAssist with expanded accounting support needs tied to business requirements, system changes, or process transitions.\nContribute to standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across accounting activities.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nProgressive accounting experience with demonstrated ownership of general ledger, close, reconciliations, and financial review activities.\nStrong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and segregation of duties concepts.\nExperience working with ERP or accounting systems and supporting accounting process improvements.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with finance and business stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional accounting certification such as CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent.\nExperience in a multinational, shared services, or global business support environment.\nExperience supporting AP, billing, accounting system enhancements, or finance transformation initiatives.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP reporting tools.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nAccurate and timely accounting support for close, reconciliation, and review processes.\nStrong support of general ledger administration and accounting system functionality.\nImproved accounting controls, including effective support of segregation of duties requirements.\nProactive partnership with finance stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.\nReliable support for AP, billing, and broader accounting operations as business needs expand.\nLummus Technology is the global leader in developing technology solutions that make modern life possible and focus on a more sustainable, low carbon future.
