This role sits within the IT team and works closely with engineers, QA, and application developers to support consistent and efficient engineering workflows.This role requires a strong understanding of how COMOS is applied during FEED and early project phases and the ability to turn engineering needs into working COMOS solutions through configuration, scripting, and development.\nReport daily to the COMOS Product Lead on the status of assigned work tracked through Azure DevOps\nExecute development assignments originating from Azure DevOps, including:development and maintenance of COMOS symbols\nreport and query development\nconfiguration of simulation imports\nuser roles and permission management\nproject setup and configuration\n\nModify COMOS base objects to support Lummus engineering workflows\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts to support configuration, imports, reporting, and repetitive engineering tasks\nAct as the primary point of contact for COMOS engineering support, assisting engineers when they are unsure how to perform tasks or apply COMOS correctly\nTroubleshoot user issues, provide guidance, and propose practical solutions consistent with Lummus standards\nDocument development practices, configuration standards, engineering workflows, and common issues to ensure knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability\nCollaborate closely with QA and engineering users to validate solutions and ensure quality before release\nRequirements\nStrong understanding of COMOS FEED configuration and how it is used as an engineering design tool\nSolid knowledge of COMOS data structures and how engineering data is modeled and maintained\nExperience writing complex automation scripts (VBScript required, additional languages a plus)\nExperience working with Azure DevOps, including converting engineering requests into user stories\nAbility to analyze engineering requests and determine practical technical solutions\nClear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work directly with engineers, QA, and developers\nAttention to detail, particularly in configuration work (e.g., symbols, tagging, reports)\nWorking knowledge of PFD, P&ID, and EC&I design concepts\nAutoCAD experience is beneficial\nUnderstanding of APIs, Power Automate, Power BI, and HTML5 is a plus\nLummus Technology is the global leader in developing technology solutions that make modern life possible and focus on a more sustainable, low carbon future.
