We’re a fast-growing, global company building the world’s best clean energy products to electrify all homes and connect communities to form clean, resilient virtual power plants.\nOn a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely:\nPerform and execute various types of testing as part of our hardware validation process. \nDesign and build test stands for PCBA testing \nSpecify test stand equipment and instrumentation\nWork with technicians for designing and building test stands\nWrite Python scripts to enable test automation and process data coming out of the test\nThoughtful use of AI assistants and coding tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini…etc) in your engineering workflow - including good judgment about when outputs need verification, awareness of confidentiality practices and a strong vision on how to structure your test code\nFor test failures and field failures, aid failure analysis investigations and countermeasure validation with design team, reliability team and failure analysis lab \nCollaborate with electrical, mechanical and firmware engineers across the company to develop thoughtful test methodologies \nAnalyze test data, write test reports and help extract important takeaways from the data \nContribute to various test infrastructure improvement efforts (ranging from contributing new features and functions to the codebase, creating custom test equipment…etc) \nDesired Skills\nBachelor’s degree in engineering in progress. Mechatronics or electrical engineering background preferred. \nHighly curious with hands-on project experience.\nWorking knowledge of programming, Python and object oriented programming experience preferred. \nWorking knowledge of electronics/circuit analysis required, working knowledge of statics/mechanics of materials and heat and mass transfer is a plus. \nExperience with test equipment like power supplies, multimeters, DAQs, various sensors/instrumentation…etc preferred.\nFamiliarity with testing embedded/IoT systems or wireless communications (Wifi/mesh networks/BLE) is a plus.\nBasic mechanical design experience/familiarity with CAD software and/or designing PCBAs is a plus.\nOur DE&I Philosophy: Lunar Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
