Your work will directly contribute to hardware destinedfor lunar missions and other advanced space technologies.\nTake the #NextLeap with Lunar Outpost and work on the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV), which will carry NASA astronauts farther than they’veever been before on the lunar surface!\nWorking Conditions / Schedule: This position is required to be onsite Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Where applicable, employees may work remotely on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform hand soldering, rework, and repair of through-hole and surface-mount electronic components\nFabricate, assemble, and inspect spacecraft and prototype wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical hardware\nBuild and integrate electromechanical assemblies from engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and wiring diagrams\nPerform continuity, insulation resistance, and basic electrical verification testing\nIdentifyand document hardware nonconformances, workmanship issues, and assembly discrepancies\nAssistwith inventory management, parts preparation, and hardware organization\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory and production environment\nSupport vehicle, subsystem, and prototype integration activities as required\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma, GED, technical certification, or equivalent experience\n3-5years of experience in electronics assembly, cable fabrication, soldering, or related technical work\nDemonstrated experience building and inspecting cable assemblies and wiring harnesses\nProficiencyin hand soldering and electronic rework techniques\nAbility to read engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and schematics\nExperience using standard electrical test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies,and oscilloscopes\n\nFamiliarity with ESD controls and electronics handling best practices\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced hardware development environment\nStrong communicationand organizational skills\nU.S. Person\nPreferred Qualifications:\nIPC J-STD-001 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) or equivalent solder workmanship certification\nIPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) or equivalent harness fabrication and inspection certification\nIPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) or equivalent electronic assembly inspection certification\nExperience building aerospace, robotics, automotive, defense, or other high-reliability hardware\nExperience with aerospace-grade connectors, including Micro-D, D-Sub, circular, and other high-reliability interconnect systems\nExperience with environmental or vibration test preparation and support\nAbility to troubleshoot wiring, connector, and assembly issues\nExperience supporting prototype or low-volume manufacturing environments\nCompensation & Benefits: Compensation level and base salary are competitively structured and thoughtfully determined based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, and the scope of the role.\nComprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental, and vision benefits, with 70% of premiums covered by the employer\nPaid time off: Three (3) weeks per year of vacation\nRetirement plan: Up to 4% employer match on 401(k) contributions\nPaid holidays: 11 company-recognized holidays\nParental leave\nEducational reimbursement opportunities to support company objectives, continued learning, and career development\nLunar Outpost Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
