As a Senior Assembly, Integration, and Test Engineer for the Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services (LTVS) program, you will be responsible for supporting the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) team in planning and executing test and qualification campaigns, facilitating development, execution, and reporting of Integrated Product Teams (IPT) testing, and developing and operating various vehicle testbed and prototype platforms.\nTake the #NextLeap with Lunar Outpost and work on the Pegasus LTV, which will carry NASA astronauts farther than they've ever been before on the lunar surface!\nWorking Conditions / Schedule: This position is required to be onsite Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Where applicable, employees may work remotely on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCreate, develop, refine, and map test requirements to test plans and procedures and their appropriate test reports\nPlan and executecomponent, subassembly, and subsystem qualification campaigns\nLead efforts to design, build, and test dedicated vehicle test platforms and prototypes\nLead development ofqualification and test campaign schedules in accordance withthe AI&T Planand execute campaigns on schedule to drive program progress\nWrite test proceduresand processes to support qualification at the component, subsystem, and vehicle level\nProvide expert inputs to program schedules and budgets as well as regular status of campaign execution\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline\n4-8 years ofexperience in developing and executing test and qualification campaigns for NASA Class A and/or human-rated vehicles\nExperience as a systems engineer or acting in a systems engineering role in support of a cislunar or lunar spaceflight mission\nDemonstrated experience leading and executing engineering test efforts to support requirement verification and validation\nFamiliarity with NASA standards for AI&T that cover testing, qualification, workmanship, etc. (i.e.SMC-S-016, NASA-STD-8739)\nClear understanding of NASA verification and validation processes\nStrong test documentation writing skills, such as test plans, procedures, reports, etc.\nKnowledge of systems engineering processes and best practices\nStrong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Project\nSelf-motivated, focused, and driven to meet critical deadlines\nExcellent organization and time management skills\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nU.S. Person\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAbility to executecross-disciplinary engineeringfrom a systems perspective, in areas such as Mechanical, Electrical, Software, etc.\nFamiliarity with executing human hazard assessments to support NASA Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs)\nExperience testing and/or qualifying vehicle mobility systems, such as suspensions, drivetrains, wheels/tires, etc.\nExperience withdesigning and building unique test support equipment, such as offload rigs, mechanism actuators,structure mockups, etc.\nFamiliarity with Python scripting\nFamiliarity with Atlassian suite (JIRA/Confluence), JAMAforrequirement generation and tracking\nCompensation & Benefits: Compensation level and base salary are competitively structured and thoughtfully determined based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, and the scope of the role.\nComprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental, and vision benefits, with 70% of premiums covered by the employer\nPaid time off: Three (3) weeks per year of vacation\nRetirement plan: Up to 4% employer match on 401(k) contributions\nPaid holidays: 11 company-recognized holidays\nParental leave\nEducational reimbursement opportunities to support company objectives, continued learning, and career development\nLunar Outpost Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
