This internship offers a truly end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration at every stage of autonomous robotic development.\nWorking Conditions / Schedule: This position is required to be onsite Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Where applicable, employees may work remotely on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTest Documentation: Write detailed test procedures, test plans, and reports, ensuring compliance with rigorous aerospace industry standards\nTest Hardware Design and Fabrication: Design, build, and assemble test fixtures and custom equipment required for component and full-system tests\nComponent and Full System Testing: Assist in executing comprehensive tests on subsystems and full robotic systems, including integration tests for spaceflight hardware\nEnvironmental Testing: Run tests in Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) chambers, simulant testbeds, and other environmental setups to simulate space conditions\nData Analysis: Analyze test data to ensure hardware meets the mission requirements and provide feedback for iterative design improvements\nCollaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to ensure test objectives are met\nQualifications:\nPursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite\nExperience drafting technical documents such as test plans, technical reports, and procedures\nHands-on experience working with hardware, including machining, electrical wiring, and using hand tools in a shop environment\nFundamental knowledge of space mission testing concepts, including qualification vs. acceptance testing and requirements verification\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.\nExhibits strong organizational and time management skills under pressure and in stressful situations\nFueled by a passion for space exploration and the boundless possibilities beyond our world\nEarly-June (June 7, 2027) to late August (August 20, 2027). Start and end dates are flexible with the intern's school schedule.
