You’ll be one of five hands-on engineers running our platform as a product. You’ll take operational friction off our feature teams so they can focus on shipping great products.\nWhat will you do?\nDefine and enforce patterns for resilient, cloud-native microservices that are observable, cost-efficient, and easy to maintain.\n\nRun, troubleshoot, and optimise the open source and cloud-native systems our platform runs on, keeping it highly available and reliable for the business.\n\nOwn the lifecycle of our high-availability Kubernetes clusters in AWS, including the upgrade cycle every four months.\n\nEvolve our asynchronous messaging backbone and critical database systems for performance and reliability. You’ll also help shape our next-generation environments, including sovereign cloud and AI-optimised infrastructure operations.\n\nSolve distributed systems challenges in a highly regulated environment, treating security and compliance as engineering constraints to design around, not roadblocks.\n\nWhat are we looking for in you?\nPlatform Experience: 3+ years of experience in a Platform, SRE, or DevOps role, ideally working with Terraform or similar IaC tools.\n\nDeveloper Empowerment: You empower fellow engineers to deliver great outcomes at increased speed and reliability.\n\nKubernetes & AWS: Hands-on experience running workloads in Kubernetes and managing core cloud services in AWS.\n\nDatabase Foundations: Practical experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL. You should be comfortable with basic performance tuning and managing RDS instances.\n\nMessage Brokers: Hands-on experience with asynchronous communication patterns and managing message queues, particularly RabbitMQ.\n\nObservability and production reliability: You know how to make systems diagnosable, not just running.\n\nCloud networking: VPCs, routing, DNS, private endpoints and connectivity patterns.\n\nAutomation Curiosity: A strong desire to automate repetitive tasks and an interest in how AI/LLMs can be used to improve the developer lifecycle.\n\nWhat you get.\n4 days in the office.
