This position works closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to create detailed designs and technical drawings that improve equipment reliability, productivity, quality, and safety.\nResponsibilities\nCreate, modify, and maintain detailed mechanical drawings, layouts, and assemblies using Autodesk applications.\nDevelop designs for manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, guards, and process improvement projects.\nSupport capital projects from concept through installation by creating and updating engineering drawings and documentation.\nCollaborate with engineers, maintenance personnel, and production teams to identify and implement equipment improvements.\nPerform field measurements and equipment evaluations to support design projects.\nMaintain drawing revisions and engineering documentation in accordance with company standards.\nProduce bills of materials (BOMs) and assist with parts identification and procurement activities.\nProvide technical support during equipment installations, modifications, and startup activities.\nEnsure designs comply with applicable safety, regulatory, and engineering standards.\nParticipate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency.\nSupport multiple projects simultaneously while meeting project timelines and deliverables.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nAssociate Degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or a related field preferred.\nMinimum of 3-5 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience designing industrial equipment, production systems, tooling, or mechanical components.\nProficiency in AutoCAD Mechanical and Inventor strongly preferred.\nExperience interpreting and developing mechanical drawings, schematics, and layouts.\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, machining, welding, and assembly techniques.\nAbility to create and modify detailed engineering drawings and bills of materials.\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience with project management and engineering documentation preferred.\nCOMPETENCIES & ABILITIES\nStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nExhibits Luvata’s Core Values of:Respect Diversity & Teamwork\nAct with Integrity, Speed and Determination\nTireless Efforts to Meet the Needs of our Customers and Society\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
