The Communications Systems Engineer will act as a Network Intrusion Specialist to provide onsite systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services in support of a government program in Chantilly, VA.\nPosition Overview\nThe Network Intrusion Specialist will support a Government customer with multiple satellite systems, both on-orbit and in development. They will also support communication systems, network, and crypto acquisition activities for multiple major satellite programs.\nNote: An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly is required to be considered for this role\nInterested candidates need to thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment; are highly motivated and not afraid to take on uncharted territory; possess strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills; and be able to prioritize their time to be effective in a dynamic environment.\nRequirements\n Key Responsibilities\nSupport the System Program Office (SPO) in an acquisition capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of communication, network, and crypto acquisitions. \nAnalyze PCAP data and IDS/IPS alerts. Trace network-based attacks. Support containment of live network intrusions.
