The Space Systems Engineer will provide onsite systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services in support of a government program in Chantilly, VA.\nPosition Overview\nAs a Space Systems Engineer, you will coordinate across other engineering divisions in support of the acquisition of systems that advance the government’s space resiliency posture. You will support a System Program Office (SPO) in a technical capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of satellite system development and acquisitions in a government/contractor team environment providing opportunities for energetic individuals with a strong desire to expand their knowledge.\nNote: An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly is required to be considered for this role\nInterested candidates need to thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment; are highly motivated and not afraid to take on uncharted territory; possess strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills; and be able to prioritize their time to be effective in a dynamic environment.\nRequirements\n Key Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain an in-depth understanding of system level requirements for assigned systems and the design features that satisfy these requirements.\nDevelop documents and briefings to communicate work status; briefs to government and industry as required.\nSupport full lifecycle engineering reviews to demonstrate the design meets all specifications and customer requirements.\nReview Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, technical accuracy, and sufficiency of design details to meet program requirements and objectives.\nParticipate in technical interchange meetings between developers and contractors.\nEvaluate vendor proposals and review technical reports, design artifacts, and program plans.\nServe as a system engineering liaison to other divisions in the SPO.\n Required Qualifications:\nBachelors in Engineering or Similar Field and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.\nExperience in systems integration and systems engineering.\nExperience using systems engineering processes, methods, and tools to develop, implement, and deploy solutions for satellite systems.\nExperience with space radar payload design, development, manufacturing, and testing.\nExperience with radar system design, operations, and data processing.\nNotable experience with large systems acquisition.\nEffective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.\nExcellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment.\nAbility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment.\nSelf-motivated professional capable of executing tasks with minimal guidance.\n Security Requirements:\nU.S. Citizenship\nActive Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance\nActive Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope (FS) Polygraph\n Work Environment:\nOn-site work in a government or contractor facility \nOccasional travel (up to 25%) \n About LV8D Solutions\nLV8D Solutions is an elite Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) company that delivers advanced systems engineering, integration, acquisition, mission operations, network communications, and cybersecurity support to our defense and intelligence customers.
